Natalie Darwitz to become Hamline University's women's hockey coach

A big Minnesota hockey name has a brand new job, as Natalie Darwitz is taking her budding coaching skills to Hamline University.

She's no stranger to advancing in hockey circles, having been a standout player at Eagan, the U of M, and the American Olympic team.

Now, she's leaving Lakeville South for the college game.

Darwitz was also pursued by UMD and MSU-Mankato, but her decision to forsake Division I opportunities for the Division 3 program at Hamline was a personal one, as she'll soon be taking on a new title -- mom.

Fox 9's Dawn Mitchell talked with Darwitz about her new job and other topics. Check out the interview in the video at the top of this post.
