Demolition work is underway on Midway Stadium. The 6,000-seat stadium in the shadows of the state fairgrounds served as the home of the St. Paul Saints for more than 20 years.

Built in 1982, it was originally called Municipal Stadium and home to Hamline University's baseball team. In 1993 the Saints moved in and the name changed to Midway Stadium.

The Saints now play in brand new CHS Field in Lowertown.

Demolition crews are harvesting the light towers from Midway Stadium, which will be installed at the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis.
