Lynx move to Xcel Energy Center for 2017 season
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - The Minnesota Lynx will be calling the Xcel Energy Center home next season as the Target Center will undergo renovations next summer and early fall.
Lynx officials say the team plans to return to the Target Center for the 2018 season when the renovations will be completed.
"I’m thrilled to be welcoming Minnesota’s three-time WNBA champions to the City of Saint Paul for their 2017 season,” said Mayor Chris Coleman. “The Lynx are a powerhouse of a team, and an amazing group of athletes to watch and we hope fans from across the state enjoy doing so from the capital city.”
The Lynx wanted to make the announcement at this time to let season ticket members know about the change ahead of their upcoming renewals.
