Gophers ready for Round 2 against No. 2 ranked TCU

The Gophers open up their season in less than a week, hosting No. 2 ranked TCU at TCF Bank Stadium. Minnesota lost to the Horned Frogs 30-7 last season in Fort Worth, Texas.

This is the first game against a Top 5 opponent in The Bank’s short history, and if the Gophers can pull off the upset, it could launch their season in an amazing way. Head coach Jerry Kill is keeping his guys even-keeled, and while they respect TCU’s success, they are not intimidated, nor are they nervous.

“It’s tough to watch the film when you look back at last year, but it’s good to see how far we’ve come as a team and how I’ve come as a quarterback,” Leidner said. “It’s definitely encouraging to look at what we’re going to be able to do against them this year.”
