3 suspended Gophers basketball players will return

Three Gophers basketball players suspended for the final 4 games of the season will return to the team next year, the University of Minnesota confirmed Tuesday. Kevin Dorsey, Nate Mason and Dupree McBrayer were suspended for a violation of team rules before the team's Feb. 28 game against Illinois.

The team never disclosed the details of their suspension and there was never a criminal investigation, but the discipline was apparently the result of videos Dorsey posted on Instagram and Twitter, showing him having sex with an unidentified woman.

"With the privilege of being a member of the University of Minnesota basketball program there are expectations and standards to which we hold our student-athletes accountable, and they have failed to do so," head coach Richard Pitino said on March 1.
