Basketball is life for these wheelchair athletes

HASTINGS, Minn. (KMSP) - Some of the top young basketball players in the country came to Hastings High School on Saturday, but all of these players were winners before they even entered the gym.

For Johnny Laing, basketball is life. But life, like basketball, has pivots. For Johnny, his hoops dreams turned into a nightmare. He underwent heart surgery and suffered a stroke, and it seemed like his chance to play the game he loved was over.

It  was the Courage Kenny Rehab Institute that helped Johnny's basketball future roll on.
