4 OTs, 1 full-court shot, 1 wild win in Waseca-Marshall boys basketball showdown

- Waseca advanced to the Minnesota boys state basketball tournament after an epic back-and-forth battle against Marshall that went into four overtimes.

With seconds left in regulation, Marshall hit a 3-point buzzer beater to send the game into the first overtime.

The teams played the Section 2AAA Final on Thursday night at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. Marshall was up 94-91 when Waseca made a full-court basket to put the game into a fourth overtime, and the last buzzer-beater lifted Waseca to a 103-101 victory.

"It's the highlight of my life right now,” Cole Streich, who hit the final shot, said.

The Timberwolves will recognize both teams before Saturday's game against the Brooklyn Nets.
