MANKATO, Minn. (KMSP) - The Minnesota Vikings defense dominated the NFC North a year ago, and all of it is back for training camp from the 11 starters to backups across the board. But they’re ready to answer the call once again and in a much bigger way this season.
From scoring to sacks, the Minnesota defensive corps finished as one the better ones in the NFL in many phases, but finishing games is already a priority in camp.
Mike Zimmer has his third year defense familiar with the scheme, and is focused on pursuing perfection - a duty that is easier said than done under Zim.
The stage is set for another step in all defensive areas and though the confidence is high, they’re staying grounded in camp and letting the season be the judge.
