Zombie Pub Crawl closes Minneapolis streets

Several streets in downtown Minneapolis will be closed from 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 to 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16 for the annual Zombie Pub Crawl. The following streets will close:

First Avenue North, from 6th Street North to 3rd Street North (full closure, no vehicles allowed).

First Avenue North, from 6th Street North to 7th Street North (local access will be maintained).

6th Street North, from Hennepin Avenue to 2nd Avenue North (local access will be maintained).

5th Street North, from Hennepin Avenue to 2nd Avenue North.

4th Street North, from Hennepin Avenue to 2nd Avenue North.

All sidewalks along these streets will be closed from building face to building face in the event area. Access will be limited to people who pay the entry fee, and anyone who lives or works within the closure will be allowed access with proper identification.

Although a section of 5th Street will close to traffic, the light rail Green Line and Blue Line trains will continue to operate.

With more than 15,000 zombies on the street, the Zombie Pub Crawl in Minneapolis has been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the “World’s Largest Gathering of Zombies.” You can find ticket and transportation information, as well as a pub crawl map and music lineup, at http://zombiepubcrawl.com/2016-minneapolis/. The event runs from 4 p.m. to midnight Saturday in the Warehouse District.
