Woman robbed of phone near Carlson School at 20th and Riverside

- Minneapolis police are investigating a robbery that was reported Wednesday evening near the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, at Riverside Avenue and 20th Avenue S. The victim, who is not affiliated with the U of M, was talking on her phone at about 6:30 p.m. when she was approached by two men.

One of the suspects grabbed the woman’s phone and ran southbound on 20th Avenue. The victim chased the suspects, but she was pushed against a parked car. The suspects then got into a car and drove southbound on 20th Avenue.

This crime did not occur on campus, so it is being investigated by the Minneapolis Police Department. University of Minnesota Police issued a crime alert on this incident due to the proximity to the Carlson School and West Bank campus.
