Woman injured after hitting bear on Hwy 169 in northern MN

A woman was injured after she hit a bear with her car while driving on Highway 169 in northern Minnesota Thursday evening.

Antonette Flynn, 57, of Chisholm was traveling westbound on Highway 169 near County Road 135 around 9:12 p.m. when she came across two bears on the roadway, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Flynn attempted to swerve around the bears, but collided with one instead.

Flynn was taken to the Fairview Range Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Minnesota State Patrol did not provide any information on the condition of the bear that was hit.
