Woman fatally stabbed in the neck at Ramp A transit hub

Minneapolis police are investigating a deadly stabbing inside the transit hub at Ramp A just outside of Target Field. The wrong suspect was taken into custody at first, and police have not made any new arrests.

Police said two women got into a fight around 5:08 a.m. and one of the women eventually stabbed the other in the neck at the transit hub at 101 9th Street North, just off I-394. She had already been stabbed when police arrived and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. 

Police initially arrested one woman, but it was the wrong one, and another person of interest has been identified but is not currently in custody.

Police said this was not a random incident but could not confirm how the women knew each other.
