Woman dies in crash near Brainerd, two others injured

- One woman died and two people were injured in a car crash near Brainerd, Minn., after a teenager failed to yield at an intersection and proceeded to collide with another car Saturday night. 

The crash occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. at Highway 6 and County Road 11 in Perry Lake Township.

Brenda Elaine Magnuson, 49, of Minneapolis died in the crash. She was a passenger in the Jeep Cherokee the teen was driving. 

A 15-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries and a 12-year-old suffered non-life threatening injuries as well.

The driver, Cole Christopher Magnuson, 18, and passenger Colin Christopher Jorgenson, 50, were not injured in the crash. 

The driver of the other vehicle, Dekele Demitri Gurley, 24, of Crosby, Minn. was not injured in the accident. 

Magnuson was driving eastbound on County Road 11 and collided with Gurley who was driving southbound on Highway 6, authorities said.
