ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - The Minnesota Whitecaps celebrated their championship win with a special fan celebration Friday night.
The team gathered around the Isobel Cup at TRIA Rink, where they sold out all 10 of their home games this season. The Whitecaps won the title in their first season in the National Women's Hockey League.
St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter declared the day as Whitecaps Day in their honor.
Following the ceremony, fans got a chance to get autographs and even skate with the players on the ice.
