EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (KMSP) - If you were hoping to see the Ice Castles this year, you’re out of luck.
The popular winter attraction announced on Facebook, Friday was its last night for the season due to unseasonably warm temperatures combined with rainy conditions.
Unfortunately the Ice Castle fell apart quicker than it ever has and organizers say the safety and enjoyment of their guests is very important to them.
For those who have already purchased tickets, Ice Castles says:
"If you have already purchased your tickets for this season please watch for an email regarding your purchase that will be sent to the email address used to purchase the tickets. We're extremely disappointed that we are having to close early, but as the weather changes, so must our plans."
The Ice Castles also opened later than usual this year because of mild temperatures. SEE THIS: Ice Castles behind schedule
