The Minnesota Twins and Barrio announced Tuesday a new partnership that includes a new bar/restaurant located adjacent to the left-field foul pole (inside Gate 6) in Target Field. Barrio features fresh Latin cuisine and a wide selection of tequila.

"We couldn't be more excited to add our flavor to the experience at Target Field," Ryan Burnet, President of Barrio Restaurant Group, said. "What really excites me about the space is that this is going to create a unique destination within the ballpark that pairs perfectly with summertime."

The new space will include a 420-square-foot video display circling the top of the bar, several video monitors to watch the game, a lounge, several high-top tables, and a cabana-style seating area. For cold night games, the entire area will have overhead radiant heat.

"Fans with tickets to the game can be the first to the party every Friday night," the Twins said in a press release. "Barrio will open early every Friday night home game for fans to enjoy exclusive drink specials from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m."

In addition, the space will be open as part of the Twins' Thirsty Thursday Nights, where fans can enjoy happy hour including $2 drafts and $2 rail drinks along with appetizer specials from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

"Given the popularity of the many restaurant and bar areas at Target Field, we know Barrio will be a draw for people who not only love baseball, but those who come to Target Field to connect with their friends, family or business associates," Dave St. Peter, Twin s President, said.

The new space is scheduled to open prior to the Twins Home Opener on Monday, April 13.
