Twin Cities man sues TSA, MAC over long security lines

A Minneapolis man is suing the Transportation Security Administration and the Metropolitan Security Administration over the long security lines at Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport that allegedly caused him to miss his flight.

Hooman Nikizad, 34, claims he missed a scheduled flight at the airport on March 19 due to the amount of time he spent in an airport security screening line. He is suing TSA for $506.85, the cost of a new flight ticket and related expenses, according to the court filing.

A hearing for the case is scheduled for June 30.
