Twin Cities experiences warmest day in nearly 3 years

- The heat and humidity rose like nothing we had seen in a long time in the metro on Saturday.  Temperatures soared into the mid-90s and we recorded a 95°+ temperature for the first time since 2013.  You have to go back to August 29, 2013 (State Fair time) to find a warmer day then on Saturday as the temperature peaked at 96° just outside Terminal 1 at MSP Airport.  While that was one of the warmest actual air temperatures across the state, it wasn’t the warmest combining the humidity.  The heat index soared to 103° at MSP Airport but nearly topped 110° for parts of the metro.  Check out the brutal heat from Saturday…
