Trial of Wetterling person of interest will happen in Twin Cities

It looks like the upcoming trial of Danny Heinrich will be held in the Twin Cities after all. Heinrich’s his lawyers asked the court for a change of venue because of all the publicity in the case, since Heinrich is also a person of interest in the disappearance of Jacob Wetterling.

A federal magistrate recommended Tuesday that the request be denied, along with requests to dismiss key evidence and statements made by Heinrich. A federal judge is expected to sign off on the magistrate's recommendation.

Heinrich was found to have child pornography in his Annandale, Minn. home last summer. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
