TMZ: Jay Z offered to pay $40M for Prince's music vault

According to TMZ, Jay Z has an interest in Prince’s music vault.

So much interest, he apparently offered to dish out millions of dollars to get the unreleased Prince music stored away in Paisley Park.

According to TMZ, Jay Z met with Prince’s sister, Tyka and her husband, Maurice Phillips, several weeks ago. Sources close to Prince’s family told TMZ, Jay Z made an offer of somewhere around $40 million. Although Tyka may be Prince’s only full sibling, she has to get sign-off from all the brothers and sisters and the trust that is manage the estate.

Jay Z currently owns the music streaming service, Tidal. Before his death, Prince had recently signed a big deal with Tidal. Prince’s ‘HITNRUN Phase Two’ album was made available on Tidal last December.
