Target is recalling more than 500,000 water-absorbing Easter and dinosaur egg toys because, if ingested, they could expand inside a child's body and cause intestinal obstructions.

The recall involves the Hatch & Grow Easter Eggs, Easter Grow Toys and Hatch Your Own Dino toys. The toys were sold at Target stores nationwide from February 2017 through March 2017 for about $1.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says if the toy is ingested it can expand inside the child’s body and cause intestinal obstructions, resulting in severe discomfort, vomiting and dehydration. Ingesting the toy could be life-threatening and surgery would be required to remove it from the child’s body.

No incidents involving the recalled toys have been reported.

Anyone who has purchased one of the recalled toys should take it away from children and return it to any Target store for a full refund.
