St. Paul shooting stemmed from 'family dispute,' police say

The person who St. Paul police believe shot and killed another man in the city's Dayton's Bluff neighborhood Wednesday afternoon is in custody, according to a release from the department.

Investigators said the incident stemmed from a family dispute and that the suspect and victim are related.

Officers were originally called to the 1000 block of East 3rd Street around 1:30 p.m. for a reported shooting, arriving to find the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene a short time later, officials said.
