St. Paul police investigating fatal crash in Payne-Phalen neighborhood

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - Police are investigating a fatal crash that took place early Saturday morning in St. Paul, Minnesota.

According to police, the crash happened around 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of Earl Street and Maryland Avenue East.

Police say initial investigation suggests that the SUV struck the car in the intersection of Maryland and Earl. A passenger in the SUV was killed. He has been identified as 28-year-old Anthony C. Gilmore of St. Paul.

Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the crash.
