St. Paul police investigating after 2 pit bulls found dead in SUV

St. Paul Police Department has confirmed that an investigation is taking place after two pit bulls were found dead in an SUV on the city’s east side on Monday.  Police also said they have identified a suspect.

“In this case, the cause and manner has yet to be determined at this point and it’s an active investigation,” Sgt. Paul Paulos said.

The two pit bulls belonged to 25-year-old Adrian Sebastiano, who told Fox 9 she believes her friend’s ex-girlfriend poisoned them and is responsible for the deaths.  But that woman told Fox 9 she has nothing to do with the incident.

"I'm very depressed," Sebastiano said. "It's hard for me to hold it together."

Sebastiano said her dogs Shira and Champagne were taken to a vet at the University of Minnesota for tests to figure out how they died, but she believes they were killed by someone who knows.
