The St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, along with artist Patricia Kopatchinskaja, won a Grammy Sunday night at the 60th annual awards show in New York City.

Its performance of Death & The Maiden earned the orchestra a nod for "Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance" back in November, one of two Minnesota orchestras to be nominated for the prestigious awards. The Minnesota Orchestra was also nominated in the "Best Orchestral Performance" category for their recording of Mahler's 5th Symphony.

The official description of "Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance" on the Grammy website reads "For new recordings of works with chamber or small ensemble (twenty-four or fewer members, not including the conductor)."
