Spring fever ahead of schedule

- What a nice few days! Temperatures have been 20+ degrees above average the last couple of days as the springtime warmth has finally taken over.  While no records have been set, we have been running ahead of normal when it comes to hitting major milestones so far this year…

In the average year, we should hit 60° by the end of March, 70° by the middle of April (AKA, right about now), and 80° in the first few days of May.  Well, with our mild winter flowing right into spring, we have been ahead of schedule with all of these milestones.  This year we hit our first 60° 3 weeks ahead of schedule and our first 70° just 2 days later, more than a month earlier than average.  The 80° of Saturday continued the trend showing up nearly 3 weeks ahead of what is average.  If I were a betting man, I’d wager that our first 90° day of the year comes early as well… typically happening in the first week of June, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see one in May.
