Semi driver dies following offloading accident in Blaine, Minn.

- A semi driver from Missouri has died following an accident at a business in Blaine, Minnesota. According to police, the driver was unloading some large diameter plastic pipe from his semi-truck trailer when he was struck by a piece that fell.

The accident was reported just before 9 a.m. on the 10700 block of Mankato Street. The man was transported to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids with critical injuries and later died.

The incident still remains under investigation by the Blaine Police Department, Anoka County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division, Anoka County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Unit and the Minnesota Department of Occupational Safety and Health.
