Lakeland City Hall damaged by fire

A reward is being offered in a city hall fire that investigators believe was set intentionally.

Lakeland City Hall was about half-way built when it started on fire overnight on Nov. 13. The city hall was seen by the community as controversial as some thought the building as a necessity and others thought it was a waste of city money. Lakeland mayor elect, Dick Glasgow vowed to stop construction of the city hall as soon as possible.

The Minnesota Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction through the Minnesota Arson Reward Project.

Anyone with information should call the Minnesota Arson Hotline at 1-800-723-2020 (callers can remain anonymous) or submit a tip online at www.mniaai.org.
