The Minnesota Wild has traded 26-year-old center Charlie Coyle to the Boston Bruins.

The team announced Wednesday night that Coyle will head to Beantown and, in return, Ryan Donato and a conditional fifth-round draft pick in 2019 will be heading to St. Paul.

Donato, 22, has six goals and three assists in 34 games with the Bruins this year and another 12 points with the team's AHL affiliate. Notably, he led the United States in scoring in the 2018 Pyeonchang Olympic Winter Games.

Coyle, a 6-foot 3-inch Massachusetts native, has scored 10 goals and recorded 18 assists this season for the Wild.

This season marked Coyle's seventh with the Wild. He scored as many as 21 goals in the 2015/2016 season.
