Two men have been arrested after a package was swiped right off of someone's porch in Paulding County earlier this week.

On Monday, FOX 5 viewer Eric Truitt sent us surveillance video from his home. He said his daughter's birthday present was inside the stolen package, along with another birthday present from her brother.

It was his daughter's birthday, that day.

On Tuesday, Truitt told us some of the stolen items were placed in front of his mailbox outside his home. They were found in a garbage bag over a tarp, along with some cash and an apology letter.

"So sorry hope this helps," the note said. "I know I can't make it right, but I want to try."

The family did not open the bag, but called investigators, who seized the evidence for fingerprints.

On Monday, the Paulding County Sheriff's Office was working to identify a suspect and on Wednesday they announced the arrests of Jeremiah Walker and Norman Miller. Both have been charged with theft by taking.
