(KMSP) - The Minnesota Department of Health is investigating cases of salmonella tied to a powdered meal product.
The outbreak is tied to the product, Garden of Life organic shake and meal replacement, which was sold at nutrition stores and food cooperatives in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Oregon, New Jersey, New Mexico and Utah.
Two cases were reported in Minnesota in January, an adult in his 30s and a child. Neither was hospitalized and both have since recovered.
Cases have also been reported in the other states where the product was sold.
Garden of Life has launched a recall of the vanilla and chocolate shake products. More information can be found here.
