1 woman dead, 2 others injured in north Minneapolis shooting

Minneapolis Police are investigating a fatal shooting near N 30th Ave and N Newton in north Minneapolis.

Officer Corey Schmidt said one woman was killed and two others were injured on Saturday. The deceased woman has been identified as Crystal Collins, 36, of north Minneapolis.

At about 8 p.m. police responded to a call of shots fired. When officers arrived they found a woman on the ground with a gunshot wound. Emergency crews gave her CPR, but could not revive her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

While officers were interviewing people in the area, the two adult men showed up at North Memorial Hospital with injuries. One man is in stable condition. Another man received a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

There are no suspects yet.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
