Police investigating fatal shooting in north Minneapolis alley
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in north Minneapolis Sunday morning.
Shortly after 11 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired on the 5200 block of James Avenue North. Upon arrival, officers located a man in the alley and started CPR.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release his identity and cause of death.
"Squads are canvassing the area looking for evidence," Sgt. Darcy Horn told Fox 9. "The crime lab is responding and processing the scene and Minneapolis detectives are investigating, looking for witnesses and any evidence."
