'Pokemon Go' helps reunite missing dog with foster mom

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (KMSP) - 'Pokémon Go’ is more than a game to one dog rescue group in Brooklyn Center, Minn.
One of the “No Dog Left Behind” foster dogs, Louie went missing 2 weeks ago after he escaped his collar while he was on a walk.
The rescue group posted hundreds of signs and fliers hoping someone would find Louie. The group received multiple calls from people across Brooklyn Park and finally on Sunday, July 24, they received a call from a man who said he saw Louie a few times at one of the ‘Pokémon Go’ stops in Brooklyn Park.
No Dog Left Behind, with the help of The Retrievers set out food and water in the area where the man saw Louie. The Retrievers provided the rescue group with a motion sensing camera which detected when Louie came back to the ‘Pokémon Go’ stop.
The group says Louie is getting checked out by a vet after being outside for so long and getting a proper sized collar and double leash so no more slips will happen. Louie will be up for adoption soon, check the No Dog Left Behind Facebook page for updates.
‘Pokémon Go’ has become popular over the last month. The game allows players to use their mobile device to locate, capture, battle and train virtual creatures.
