Our wet October continues

Another week and more rain pushes through the state.  While copious amounts of water remained localized  across far southern Minnesota, plenty of moisture made it into the metro as well garnering rainfall totals that were closing in on an inch in many areas.  This will mark the 5th straight month that the metro has seen above average precipitation and our wet pattern shows no signs of slowing down.  While there have certainly been far more breaks in the rain this month than in our previous water logged calendar names, we continue our very busy year of storms.  With a trough continuing off the coast of the Pacific Northwest and southwesterly flow over the Upper Midwest, our mild and wet weather is likely to continue as well.  A look at some of the rainfall totals are above along with radar estimates in some of the harder hit areas.
