One year later: Minneapolis peace activist Susan Spiller's murder still a mystery

- It has been over one year since north Minneapolis artist and community watchdog, Susan Spiller was violently killed in her home.

Spiller was found badly beaten on July 16, 2015 at her home on the 5100 block of Dupont Avenue N. The medical examiners ruled her death a “complex homicide.”

Family and friends are still looking for answers. Minneapolis police posted a video to their Facebook page to remind people they’re still investigating and want anyone with information to come forward, “She was a very vibrant person in the community, a lot of people know her and a lot of people are upset at her passing." Detective Darcy Klund said.

Investigators are still asking for the public’s help in the case. Minneapolis police say anyone with any information should contact Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or text 'tip 747 plus your tip' to 274637. There’s a possible cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
