It has been a chilly start to November, I think everyone is aware of that, but it may be even cooler than you think. So far this month we have yet to surpass 46°. That is the 2nd coldest high temperature for the entire month on record. Even the 1991 November, after the Halloween Blizzard, experienced a monthly high temp of 49°. There have been just 8 Novembers since records began in 1872, where the temperature didn’t hit 50° at least once during the month. Now, the forecast has us close to 50° on Monday, with another shot at it on Black Friday so our current 46° monthly high will likely not hold. But considering the average highs plummet to the freeze mark by the end of the month, historically, it becomes increasingly more unlikely to hit 50° by months’ end.
