New Orleans takes down last confederate monument

- One last piece of confederate history came down in New Orleans Friday evening.

A statue of General Robert E. Lee marks the last of four confederate monuments that the New Orleans city council voted to remove in 2015.

The removal was called upon after the massacre of nine black parishioners at a Charleston church.

The statues are being placed into storage, and the city will solicit proposals on where to send them next.
