MSP Airport named best airport in North America

The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was named the best airport of its size in North America Tuesday by the Airports Council International.

This is the second consecutive year MSP Airport has topped the list of North American airports serving 25 to 40 million passengers a year. The rankings are determined by the results of passenger surveys, according to a news release from the Metropolitan Airports Commission, which owns and operates MSP Airport.

“Our vision is ‘providing your best airport experience,’ and receipt of this coveted award validates our efforts and those of our partners in the MSP Airport community," Brian Ryks, executive director and CEO of the Metropolitan Airports Commission said in statement.

To compile its rankings, ACI surveyed 600,000 passengers in 84 countries on their day of travel. The survey questions covered everything from airport access to check-in, security screening, restrooms, stores and restaurants.
