MPD: 6 arrested after firing guns in restaurant parking lot

Six people were arrested early Wednesday morning on possible weapons charges after they were caught firing guns in the parking lot of a restaurant in north Minneapolis.

Shortly after midnight, Minneapolis Police received a 911 call about a group firing guns in a restaurant parking lot on Broadway Avenue West and Fremont Avenue North.

Officers arrested six people after the 911 caller identified them. Four guns were recovered from their vehicles.

The suspects are being held in the Hennepin County Jail on probably cause weapons charges. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
