More than 150 volunteers join search for missing 24-year-old St. Cloud man

Family, friends and nearly 150 volunteers joined arms Friday in search of Tyler Berg, the 24-year-old who has been missing from his St. Cloud, Minn. home since Nov. 22.

Berg’s car was found abandoned near Otter Creek Park in Monticello. Clothes believed to belong to Berg were also found scattered at the park and on Monticello Country Club golf course.

“There is a great deal of concern about why he was in the area and why it was found the way it was,” Tony Delhanty, Berg’s brother-in-law, said. “Ultimately you think the worst case scenario, but at this point we just want to find something. [We] just want to have answers as to what happened to him.”

The nonprofit organization United legacy is helping orchestrate the search and has also been conducting daily searches for an unrelated missing man in Savage.

Some family members of 38-year-old Martise Windom, a youth basketball coach from Savage, joined the effort in Monticello, mainly to offer moral support. Windom has been missing since Nov. 7.

“Ultimately you think the worst case scenario, but at this point we just want to find something. [You] just want to have answers as to what happened to him,”

“We both have someone missing from the table and it felt good, it feels good just to come up and be an extra person to hug,” Noah Gregory, Windom’s godson, said.

Additional resources ranging from mounted patrol, ATVs, drones and donations through a GoFundMe page are encouraged, but man power is needed most.

Speaking for Tyler’s family, his brother-in-law says despite their agony, support from volunteers offers a lot to be thankful for.

“It puts us in a good spot and gives us a glimmer of hope,” Delhanty said.

Berg’s family plans to continue these searches on a daily basis.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Berg or anyone who had contact with him on Monday morning to contact investigators at 763-682-7637.

More details on the search for Berg can be found on the Help Find Tyler Berg or United Legacy Facebook pages.
