MN college hockey teams may secure 3 of 4 top seeds in NCAA Tournament

Minnesota college hockey teams are on pace to secure three of the four top seeds in the NCAA Tournament when the bracket is announced next week.

Currently, St. Cloud State sits atop the national ranking with the Minnesota State-Mankato Mavericks in second. The University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs are currently ranked fourth.

FOX 9 caught up with the Mavericks Wednesday to preview their conference tournament final Saturday. Mankato is set to take on Bowling Green University for the WCHA title.

While the team expects to make the NCAA Tournament field anyway, they are looking for a little revenge against a Bowling Green team who took it to them when they met in December.

During this postseason run, the team decided to die their hair blonde, giving them some last minute bonding before the tournament.
