11-year-old boy found safe in Minneapolis


UPDATE- Terrell Smith was located safe and sound on Sunday. Minneapolis police would like to thank those who assisted in locating him.

Minneapolis police are asking for the public's help to find a missing 11-year-old boy.

Terrell Deandre Smith was last seen Friday night at about 6 p.m. on the 3000 block of 6th Street North. Police say he was reportedly heading to Farview Park.

Around 9 p.m. a group of kids confirmed a sighting of Smith at Farview Park. 

Smith is an African-American boy who stands 4 feet 11 inches tall, weighs about 90 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. It is believed that he's wearing a gray shirt and orange basketball shorts.

Family and friends handed fliers out Saturday.

And anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Minneapolis Police Department.
