Washington County authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a teenager with autism who has been missing since Tuesday.

Austin Sager, 18, went missing near either Woodbury or Cottage Grove around 4 p.m. Authorities believe he may have been trying to walk to St. Paul.

Sager is a high-functioning teen with autism and is a part of the South Washington County Schools’ Next Step program. He is approximately five feet, nine inches tall and weighs 179 pounds. He has sandy blonde hair, blue eyes and normally wears glasses. He may be wearing a blue shirt.

Woodbury police say Sager is known to visit churches and it is not unusual for him to take long walks. He is trusting of others and may get in a car with a stranger.
