MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - With temperatures near the 70s in the Twin Cities, many people went outside to take in the weather just a week after snow was falling across the area.
“So good, so good I mean it’s nice to not be covered in snow, even though that was a few days ago,” said Caitlin Harle, a runner.
“It makes me want to cry, it’s so nice,” said Madeline Johnson, a runner. “It’s over 100 degrees warmer than some points these winter.”
At lakes across the Twin Cities from Como Lake to Bde Maka Ska, from the joggers to the Frisbee throwers, everyone seemed to be enjoying the sunshine.
“It’s what everyone has been waiting on, when spring finally to come,” said Mason Piehler. “It feels like freedom basically.”
