The stories of Lake Minnetonka

EXCELSIOR, Minn. (KMSP) - A new book explores the past and present of Excelsior, Deephaven, Greenwood, Shorewood and Tonka Bay.

Local author Al Tollefson worked three years to write the book Shaping our Community with stories from the residents about how the area evolved.

From farming to perhaps inspiring the Rolling Stones, the lakeshore communities have a lot of stories to tell.
