ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - Milan Dennie opened King Milan's barber shop last December, giving free back to school haircuts for anyone who needed one. Milan said he heard about the idea while in barber school and thought it would be fun to do when he opened his first shop in Indiana 10 years ago.
Raised by a single mom, he says he understands the challenges families face when trying to get their kids back to school. Milan estimates he's gave about 175 free haircuts Monday.
Milan will do any style the kids want, as long as it's mom-approved.
