EAGAN, Minn. (KMSP) - Nine baby ducklings were rescued from an Eagan sewer on Wednesday while their worried mother watched nearby. The adorable reunion with mama duck was caught on video.
"On our way to work this morning around 6:30 a.m. we saw a mother duck and one baby duckling hovering around a water grate on Diamond Drive in Eagan," Vicki Larson told Fox 9. "We stopped to investigate and could hear quacks coming from the grate. My husband, Terry, lifted off the heavy grate and we could see nine baby ducks trapped down in the hole."
Vicki said her husband then climbed down into the sewer and came up with a handful of ducks.
"Mom was hovering around keeping a close watch on the rescue," Vicki said. "He rescued all nine babies and they were successfully reunited with Mom."
