MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - It’s National Superhero Day! Thursday afternoon, college students with of Love Your Melon will dress as superheroes and visit to kids undergoing cancer treatment at Masonic Children's Hospital in Minneapolis.
The Love Your Melon will “donate hats to kids and families, play music, and bring smiles to their faces while honoring everyday superheroes like hospital administration and parents who are helping these kids get through tough times.”
Love Your Melon is an apparel brand founded by University of St. Thomas graduates Zachary Quinn and Brian Keller. The company’s mission is to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children battling cancer.
Superhero Day was first hosted at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital in 2014.This year, more than 50 hospitals are participating.
