Minnesota native Vegas shooting survivor honored at Golden Knights game

A Minnesota native, who nearly lost his life in the deadly mass shooting on the Las Vegas strip, was honored at a Stanley Cup Playoff game.

Wednesday night, during Game 3 of the series between the Vegas Golden Knights and Winnipeg Jets, the Knights named Phil Aurich as one of their Vegas Strong Heroes.

Aurich was shot in the torso at the music festival in October. A bullet tore through his insides and got lodged in his lung. Thanks to the quick actions of his girlfriend and his doctor, he survived. They too were honored at the game.
